Dr. Chhoda provides the community with the current status of stimulus negotiations, and a draft of a letter intended for viewers and subscribes to send to local lawmakers instantly.
You don’t need to print an actual letter or go to the post office if you don’t want to, simply send them this letter through the lawmaker’s website.
Here’s the website to locate your Senator or House representative, and send them the letter (edit the letter if you like. It is intended to be simple and direct, but use it as a starting point if you so choose)
SHARE the video and letter with friends and family so they hear from us. This grassroots effort can make a difference, every message matters. Your voice matters. Make yourself heard, and encourage others to make their voices heard too.
Want to help further? You can do TWO THINGS:
1. Asking 5 people to send this letter
2. Reinforce your voice by sending the same message via an actual letter (through the post office) and following up with your Senator or House representative by phone. This MATTERS because you’ll be reaching them using multiple media (internet, regular mail, phone). This MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

The letter is intended to be simple and direct, and if you want to add / edit it before sending, go ahead, do what you want. For some, this letter will be perfect, for others, it may be a starting point for you to add your own thoughts.
Either way, MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD, because it matters.
THE NEED TO HELP STRUGGLING AMERICANS
Dear Senator / Congressman / Congresswoman,
It is evident we are in the middle of a K-shaped recovery, where the rich have recovered, but the poor continue to struggle. Some have a lot of money, but one in 8 Americans are now experiencing hunger. We are lending money to corporations and businesses, but as your constituent and fellow citizen, I can tell you that my family needs cash today, and needs it quick.
We need money today for rent, to buy food, to pay bills. We need money today, not tomorrow, not in a few weeks from now.
We need our lawmakers to do the right thing, and to come through for us.
The situation is very dire for millions currently on unemployment, and facing evictions and foreclosures.
If you believe that those who need help the most should get it, now is the time for you to act, and introduce or support a bill to support families in need. I look forward to prompt action, before it’s too late.
